Adapting HIV/AIDS curricula to the various target groups\' needs;

The trainer personalizes his/her course by identifying the target group and selecting the learning material according to that target group. This module is useful to understand how you can manage the interaction among target groups’ needs and "HIV/AIDS curricula".

Choosing content according to the aims and objectives;

To create an on-line course you need firstly to create the content of the course. The online module aims to deepen individual understanding of the complexities of HIV/AIDS and to equip participants with knowledge and skills to improve HIV/AIDS program design and implementation. A further important aim is the encouragement of positive attitudes toward people living with HIV/AIDS.

This module describes how to create the content of a course according to the aims and objectives. The module will present:

  • How a course is composed
  • Topics of the course and the learning materials
  • The course\'s materials
  • The complete structure of a course

Using computer (MS Word) to create learning materials;

To create learning materials to be used for the course you need to use a computer. It is recommended to use well known software to create the materials, as the Microsoft Word.

This module describes the basics of the new MS Word (version 2007). The module will present:

  • The new Ribbon
  • Getting started into using Word
  • How to save your work
  • How to change text and apply styles
  • How to insert images or photos

Developing interactive learning activities sheets;

The course materials consist of learning materials and evaluation materials. Each course objective is addressed in a learning material, and the knowledge accumulated by the learner for that objective is assessed through a quiz.

At the end of each module, after the user goes through the learning materials, the general knowledge of the learner on that module is evaluated through a worksheet.

In this module will be presented the structure of the learning materials, quizzes and worksheets.

Designing online evaluation tools

The are six (6) basic steps to create, add or choose quizzes to any objective of the online course’s module. The trainer sets up the quiz in the section of "ONLINE COURSE". The quizzes evaluate the students\' knowledge gained while studying the learning materials of the online course.

For each objective there is possible to choose one (1) quiz. Each quiz consists of a question with three (3) possible answers while only one (1) is correct. Actually, the trainer has two (2) possibilities to set up the quiz. Either he chooses one from the already existent (created before) or he adds a new one.
