Management of the courses: publishing, opening, closing, republishing the courses

To create a course you first need to ask to become a trainer and then to be recognized by the language administrator.

This course describes how to create and manage a course. The module will present:

  • How to become a new trainer
  • How to create and publish a course
  • How to open a course
  • How to close a course
  • How to republish a course

Managing subscription to courses

The trainer must manage the subscriptions to his/her course. How to do it? The platform helps trainers to do it. The first contact with people interested to your course. This module helps trainers to manage the subscriptions to their courses.

Using the platform for subscribing to a course

The learners can subscribe to one of the courses available. When the trainer decides upon your request of subscription to a course, you will be informed about the decision by means of an e-mail sent to the address mentioned by you in the registration form. If your request is approved, that course will appear in the list of developing courses from "My courses" page.

This module descibes how to manage the subscription.

Developing learning activities through the e-learning process

For each module, there are many objectives. For each objective the learner has a learning material and a questionnaire (quiz). He/she has to download a document with the learning material and to study it before solving the questionnaire (quiz).

For each module the learners have to fill a Worksheet, which is a learning document and in the same time a tool of evaluation, and to send it to the trainer.

Communication with the learners on the online platform

One of the main tasks of the trainer in a Course consists of communicating with the trainees. Once the course was edited, communication between trainer and trainees starts. How to lead the process of learning?

The module helps trainers to manage the communication with the learners, and gives suggestions to improve the learning process.

Management of the learning process and monitoring the online course

The role of the trainer when a course is running consists of:

  • Monitoring the progress of the trainees
  • Evaluating the trainees
  • Communicating with the trainees
  • Leading the process of learning
  • Managing the course (finalizing the course, resuming the course)

Evaluating the learners and tracking their progress

The necessity of monitoring and controlling the process of learning, the assessment of the level of assimilability of a given material and learners’ input of work are the key parts in the process of education. It is essential to examine already gained knowledge if we want the training to play educational role. Teaching via the Internet is based on various mechanisms which enable the trainer to check the progress of the learners.

In the HIV/AIDS courses introduced by the partners’ teams, the trainer may use different kinds of tools which verify the knowledge gained by the learners during the e-learning process.
